Michael D. Curtin

 

Michael Curtin has founded and served in executive and development positions in several companies, including technology, real estate investment, and digital photography and imaging companies.  He currently serves as president of Striking Development, Inc., a Commerce Township, Michigan software consulting firm.  He has been building custom hardware and software solutions for over 20 years, mainly for financial and government customers.

 

Professional Background

 

Mr. Curtin’s background includes more than 20 years of computer systems development experience, specializing in decision support systems.  He designed, developed, installed, and supported custom hardware and software systems for several agencies of the Federal government as an employee of TRW.  Since leaving that company, he has consulted on software projects for leading insurance companies, as well as divisions of TRW, Computer Sciences Corporation, and the United States Marine Corps.  Most recently, Mr. Curtin served as Vice President, Engineering, at Paracel, Inc., a manufacturer of high-performance computing hardware and software that specialized in the biotechnology, computer-aided engineering, and text analysis markets.  He has published several articles in software development technical journals.  He has conducted training for, and made presentations on technical concepts to, audiences technical and non-technical, numbering from one to over one hundred.

Mr. Curtin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with honor, from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).
